Mornings With Celestial Seasonings Healthy Teas

Ok, so what are mornings like for work-from-home parents of three boys under five?!
Well first, Donnie and I like to wake up an hour before the kids so we can have some quiet time together. I’ll prepare our Celestial Seasonings full flavor morning teas, then we like to sit outside in the garden while going over emails and our tasks for the day. We set our intentions for the day followed by a mini meditation session.
Shortly after we expect to see my oldest son peeking through the window or joins us outside for a minute before we start breakfast. He always wants his own cup of tea by this time. I try to avoid giving my boys juice if possible (mean mommy I know, I know) so Celestial Seasonings flavorful teas are the perfect alternative. My kids are a big fans of the Country Peach Passion, which they love iced! Me and dad are peppermint fans in the morning with lemon (I also like to add a little apple cider vinegar to mine). And their Honey Vanilla Chamomile is perfect for when you feel a cold coming on.
When breakfast is almost ready, my oldest loves to go wake up his little brothers. These guys want to eat the second they wake up so we like to have everything ready beforehand.
After breakfast the kids like to play in the backyard for awhile or color inside if it’s cold. So depending on what time they woke up that morning they should be ready for a nap. Or I fix them a quick lunch, then the twins are off to a nap! Now it’s time for mama to get some work done. I like to utilize these 2-3 hours as much as possible, so I get down to it! This schedule has been perfect, and we’re so productive throughout the day...
Ok, I have a confession...our morning routine I just described above...well it was a lie. Do you really want to know what mornings are like with three boys under five?! It’s chaos. No we don’t get up before the kids in the mornings. We’re actually rudely awaken every morning by someone jumping into our bed and landing on our rib cage. Usually our oldest Donovan will turn on a show for his brothers on full blast, and the twins are screaming about how hungry they are! Forget morning mediations, I’m lucky if I get a chance to pee first.
Then I have to RUN downstairs, and hope I didn’t leave my wine glass on the coffee table again from the night before or it’s guaranteed to be poured out all over my floors! Now we usually have to make two different breakfasts. Donovan barely eats his, while the twins are stuffing their faces while simultaneously demanding more food! And we better get it, and quick!!
We know everyone is done eating when the twins start throwing their food across the room. During this time I make myself a cup of Celestial Seasonings Peppermint tea. I usually forget about it while it’s still hot so it usually turns into iced peppermint tea I can finally enjoy after the babies go to sleep. Now I try and work, which actually means I take the first hour to regroup! Then usually right when I start to get in the groove of my work schedule...the babies wake up...yay lol! So that’s actually what our mornings are like with a five year old and two year old twins, fun right?!
Lucky for me I like my Celestial Seasonings teas teas iced! Plus, they’re caffeine free so it’s safe to share with the little guys. I also like to stay environmentally conscious when it comes to foods and products I buy. That’s why I love that Celestial Seasonings only selects the highest quality herbs, teas and botanicals that have been grown according to Earth-friendly practices. Their farming partners meet strict standards for purity, quality and consistency by using sustainable agricultural practices that are better for the land, produce better ingredients and result in better teas. Their boxes are made with 100% recycled paperboard (including 35% consumer waste) that can be recycled again when empty, and they don’t use strings for their tea bags.
