Cauliflower (CauliPOWER) Pizza At PizzaRev!

OK, Have you guys been to one of those assembly line pizza restaurants before? Well I was kindly invited to dine at PizzaRev’s new location in Sacramento, CA. They describe themselves as being the “Pizza-Revolution” so I definitely wanted to see for myself. They were also featuring their new cauliflower crust pizza which I was excited about because I’ve been trying to follow a keto, low carb diet, and pizza is definitely one of my weaknesses. This location is really cool and modern, the branding is great and they even have a full taproom!

So what’s so special about PizzaRev?!

The first thing that caught my eye was their Tap Room. There’s two walls lined with fountains of beer. I’m not really a beer drinker, but my hubby is, so this would be a great place to bring the family for dinner and make everyone happy! Everyone who works there was super welcoming, I felt like I was walking into a family restaurant. It was my first time at a place like this so they explained how everything worked. I like how they make the pizza in front of you, so you can customize your pizza exactly how you want it. I loved the 30+ variety of toppings beyond what you normally expect, like goat cheese, ricotta, cilantro, and fennel sausage. The pizzas are baked in a fire stone oven, are ready in about five minutes.

CauliPOWER PIZZA

I ordered the cauliflower pizza of course. I decided to go with their special, which included, pesto sauce, mozzarella, goat cheese, red onion, cauliflower, tomatoes, and I added fennel sausage which I think just took it to over the top deliciousness. My son tried their classic sausage. They’re personal sized pizzas which I like so you can order a few different ones and share. Ok, so how was the CauliPOWER PIZZA pizza?! I thought it was delicious. The flavor combo was on point! I do have to note though...I made the mistake of asking my son for a bite of his pizza because I wanted to try it. It just made me realized how delicious gluten (even though I still don’t know exactly what that is?!) and carbs are LOL! Don’t get me wrong…you’ll be fully satisfied with the cauliflower pizza...as long as you don’t take a bite of that other crust haha. My son loved his pizza of course, and they had cookies to hold him over while he impatiently waited for me to finish mine.

What I loved about PizzaRev was how casual the environment is, yet the staff still went out of their way to make sure we liked everything and had everything we needed. This is important to me being a mom of three young boys…we don’t go out to eat much these days. Mostly because I don’t want to disturb the other patrons around us lol. I would feel comfortable bringing my family out to eat at a place like this without having to sacrifice my taste in good food! They have inside and outside seating...with a fire pit I might add!
